Tomorrow: Guadalupe-N Lamar Light Rail Scenario Workshop Thursday, 11/16 7 PM

#1

From transit advocate Scott Morris:
In creating the next high capacity transit plan, planners are now narrowing their focus to specific corridors. Guadalupe-North Lamar was the focus of a recent meeting and the proposal has specific station areas identified as well as scenarios on how to fit high-capacity transit into the corridor.

We requested that Capital Metro bring that exercise directly to the community, and they agreed to do this tomorrow night, Thursday 11/16 at 7 PM. The purpose of the workshop is to provide planners with solid and diverse community feedback, identify which of their scenarios works for the communities, and identify challenges and constraints along the corridor.

The workshop will begin at 7pm and end at 8:30. CapMetro staff will be there at 6:30 to mingle if you’d like to come early to view maps and documents before the workshop starts.

Location:
“For The City Center” event space, 2nd Floor (Georgian Acres Meeting Room)
500 East Saint Johns Ave (between N. Lamar and I-35 in the Highland Neighborhood)
