Online city survey on addressing campus move-out trash

#1

Austin Resource Recovery has a survey to determine how to best address the problem with excessive trash during student move-out/in times. It only takes a few minutes to fill out and could help address the problem with trash during those times.

The survey will end on November 26. If you don’t have an answer for one of the fill-in questions, feel free to just say that or write “n/a.”

Happy Friday!

You might have seen an email come across your inbox earlier this month regarding a West Campus Move-Out Stakeholder Meeting. The City of Austin wrapped up the last meeting last week, and we had over 70 participants provide valuable insights and creative ideas as to how we might help divert material generated during move-out/move-in.

At your convenience, we would appreciate if you could:

  1. Take our online survey to provide feedback and ideas for a pilot next summer. Please complete by Nov. 26: bit.ly/west-campus
  2. Disseminate the survey to friends, neighbors, property managers, or organizations involved with the West Campus area.

Distribution Blurb:

As you may know, a significant volume of material is abandoned on the curb or near dumpsters when students move in and out of apartments and houses in/near West Campus each year. Much of the material that is currently landfilled could be reused or recycled, and the City of Austin is exploring collaborative ways to move this material towards a higher-and-better use.

We need your feedback and creative solutions to help plan a 2018 West Campus move-out diversion pilot!

Please complete our brief online survey by Sun., Nov. 26: bit.ly/west-campus.
