A Fellow Neighbor shared this with me earlier this week. It’s a pretty solid, and informative read. It does a great job of highlighting the gaps in CodeNext that could have a significant impact on our 'hood. Interested to know what you all think!

Austin Chronical Article about Heritage and CodeNext
Good summary. Thanks for sharing Brent. Heritage was given more permissive zoning (T4) than most other central neighborhoods, e.g. “medium multiplexes” (which I believe is a fourplex that has the form of a house, not an apartment building) are allowed in Heritage but not NUNA, Hyde Park, or almost any other central neighborhood. As far as I can see only Clarksville was made T4. I support additional density in Austin to help keep us affordable and support mass transit, but it needs to be applied to all central neighborhoods equally, not just to a couple of areas.
The Austin Business Journal created an interactive map that I found more useful than the city’s: https://goo.gl/jbDUPC
The city’s CodeNext page has links to PDFs that give more details: http://www.austintexas.gov/department/codenext
